Headley Heath watering hole

This was another great shot that I took at Headley Heath that I was very pleased with. This is the watering hole that the Highland Cattle on Headley like to hang around. As the sun was almost set this was one of the last photos I took that day. There where plenty of cows just to the left of this picture but as it was just minutes from being dark I just concentrated on this shot rather then change out lenses to get the wildlife.

Sunset in the woods Headley Heath

To date I think this is the best HDR photo Ive taken. Really ticks all the boxes for me for what a great HDR image is. This was the first HDR I did with more then 3 exposures. Normally I don’t think you really need more then 3 exposures, but one situation where it really works is when shooting into the sun. For this photo I used 6 exposures, as my camera only shoots 3 AEB (auto exposure brackets) I just took 3 and then adjusted the exposure compensation and took another 3 photos and of course I used a tripod so everything lined up afterwards.

This is another shot from Headley Heath during sunset.

Yesterday I went down to Headley Heath to catch the sunset and got some really great long exposure, atmospheric photos. I shot this one at f/22 as a triple exposure HDR and processed it through Photoshop and Nik software. I do love Headley Heath, find it much more enjoyable then rambling around Boxhill as it’s much quieter and more open. Which gives it some fantastic views.

Rusty old bicycle by the red door

Another photo from my Hastings walkabout this time of an old rusty bicycle chained up outside a little house with a red door.

This was a single Raw processed with Photomatix and Nik Color Efex.
