Cuillins Isle of Skye Waterfall

On my last night on the Isle of Skye on my trip last weekend I stayed at the campsite at Sligachan and met up with some buddies from Facebook who where also staying there. We got up early to do a sunrise shoot at Quiraing and then later in the day they took me to a couple of waterfalls near the campsite by the Cuillins.

This is photo from the second waterfall we went to, quite hard to find without a guide. Photo taken with the Sony A7R, three exposures bracketed and edited in Photoshop.

Buachaille Etive Mor DJI Phantom 3 Drone

I recently visited Buachaille Etive Mor with my camera and drone, was quite an overcast day and started shooting a bit late and really did not catch the drone footage I was after as a result.. but never mind I still got some cracking stills to play with and will return again soon to try and get some better video from my drone.

This is a still from the DJI phantom 3 standard a single RAW with some touch up in Photoshop.

Port Williams DJI Phantom 3 Standard

Last weekend me and my wife went in search of the location in Scotland they filmed The original Wicker Man film starring Edward Woodward. We spent the day visiting Newton Stewart, Creetown in Dumfries and Galloway and driving back we stopped at Port Williams, Dumfries and Galloway where I flew the DJI 3 phantom standard drone over the town to make a short video and capture some stills.

For the video I used an ND8 neutral density filter with contrast/sharpness/colour set at -2 across on the drone and log profile. Shutter speed set at fixed 1/60th and ISO at 100. Colour grading using GC Falcon DJI log 709 lut.

A still raw from the DJI Phantom 3 standard processed in Photoshop looking across Port Williams.

Dalrymple Burnton Viaduct

Late last night, got the photo bug so went out with my camera and found an interesting old viaduct just 10 minutes from our house. Trudged around in a wet boggy field for a couple of hours but got a few interesting shots and then waited half hour for a car to finally come by to catch a wee car trail under the viaduct.

Shot with the little Sony A7R, 30 second exposure at f2.8 with a fixed 24mm prime at ISO 1600 and a little tidy in Photoshop.

Lost Faith Church of Decay

Another camera angle of the Church of Decay in Belgium that I posted a few days ago. This photo was taken higher up from a balcony looking down. Three brackets +2 0 and -2 and I think my exposure was set back a step just to keep shadows dark. Processed in Photoshop and Nik Analog effects. Camera was the little Sony A7R.
