Heavy Metal was a industrial steel mill built during the 1960’s which closed around 2012. A huge site with lots of machinery left behind.
Another camera angle of the Church of Decay in Belgium that I posted a few days ago. This photo was taken higher up from a balcony looking down. Three brackets +2 0 and -2 and I think my exposure was set back a step just to keep shadows dark. Processed in Photoshop and Nik Analog effects. Camera was the little Sony A7R.
The castle has stood empty and completely abandoned since 1991 because the costs to maintain it were too great, and a search for investors in the property failed.
Heavy Metal is the code name for an old abandoned steel works in Belgium. Operational during the 1960’s and now left to decay. We spent around 4 hours exploring here but a vast site that you could easy spend a few days exploring.
