London Tower Bridge bus passing

Just got back from a great London night shoot with my new toy a Nikon D800, but had to stop shooting as my battery ran out. Was supposed to be 5 or 6 of us but I ended up shooting on my own. I only have one FX lens a 50mm prime.. so expect to see lots of 50mm shots during the next few weeks :)

Grey outside Battersea power station

As I walked past Battersea power station the other day I took a number of pictures of it. To be honest it’s about the most ugliest eyesore of a building you could imagine, but it fills up the whole landscape and is very imposing. I expect to hear on the news any day that it will be demolished so I will saviour it incase with some photos.

I took a number of just the building itself but the one I prefer was this one with it set in the background. I jazzed up the surrounding photo to keep that grey feeling you get from looking at this building.

Under the wobbly bridge at night

I never knew that Londoners called the millenum bridge the wobbly bridge so I looked it up and read that they closed the bridge for a couple of years shortly after it was opened in order to fix the fact that it was wobbly. Here’s a night time photo looking under the bridge.

The London Eye HDR

Although Ive already taken a number of photos of The London Eye it is pretty much impossible to walk along this stretch of the River Thames with a camera in your hand and not take a photo of it. So here we go, The London Eye.
