Just got back from a great London night shoot with my new toy a Nikon D800, but had to stop shooting as my battery ran out. Was supposed to be 5 or 6 of us but I ended up shooting on my own. I only have one FX lens a 50mm prime.. so expect to see lots of 50mm shots during the next few weeks

Although Ive already taken a number of photos of The London Eye it is pretty much impossible to walk along this stretch of the River Thames with a camera in your hand and not take a photo of it. So here we go, The London Eye.
The London Eye HDR
So today we had our first snowfall in South London (where I live) I don’t particularly enjoy the snow, I can bear the cold if im moving around but not the snow. So no new photos trips for a few days plus I promised my sister I would help her with some decorating.
This is a night time photo of the Scoop More London building just down on the river Thames next to Tower Bridge. Im not to keen on using a tripod even for HDR I get alot more shots to play with at home when I take handheld shots and you will be surprised at the amount of good tripod like flat surfaces you can find in town. On this one I just used the railing as a makeshift tripod and sometimes the angles you get are quite interesting.
