Just got back from a great London night shoot with my new toy a Nikon D800, but had to stop shooting as my battery ran out. Was supposed to be 5 or 6 of us but I ended up shooting on my own. I only have one FX lens a 50mm prime.. so expect to see lots of 50mm shots during the next few weeks
Another shot of Tower Bridge at slight different angle but I really like how this one came out with new and old together. Processed with Color Efex pro to give it that wet and glossy look.
Ive got so much camera gear now that I had to buy a new camera bag. Ive been using a Nikon messenger bag up until now but it’s just not big enough. So I decided a back pack type would be better even though I prefer a messenger type as I need the extra room. So I ordered a Kata DR-467i backpack.
These bags are fantastic quality and the price is very good for what your getting. Kata actually make bags for the Israeli military so durability is key.
One morning in Feb 2012 I went into London for a little photo walk for a few hours. Starting off at Blackfriars into the West End upto Carnaby Street along to Leicester Square and finishing up at Trafalgar square. 1000 photos in 3 minutes. Here we have a photo in the city of Tower Bridge between the glass buildings and offices. I love the little shops to the side and the little water feature that runs down the middle although I would not be surprised if many had caught their foot in the channel.
This was quite a fun picture to take as was quite busy and even though I was positioned in the middle on top of the water stream people where still walking down the centre as one woman almost walked right into my tripod.
This was taken as a 10 second long exposure and as a single RAW file that I processed through Photomatix and Photoshop.
